Lorenzo Puntoni
Best Short Film Jury
Born in 1986 in Tuscany, he studied cinema at the "Accademia dell'Immagine in L'Aquila".
He has worked as first assistant director for some of the most interesting young Italian filmmakers of recent years, such as Fulvio Risuleo and Manfredi Lucibello.
His short film Aquarium was selected by more than seventy festivals worldwide. He is currently developing Fabula: a TV series project selected at MiA 2020 in Rome, and his first feature film La selvaggia: selected at Locarno 74 film festival, for Alliance for development section.
Best Short Documentray winner: THE CUT
THE CUT is an essential and emotionally shocking film. Able to stage the visceral falling in love between a mother and her creature, using an extraordinary actress and a minimal cinematic language. A little tragic poem, immersed in the whiteness of mother's milk, that reminds us that only emotions make us human.
