Born in Aosta in 1982, Alessandro Stevanon is a producer, director and teacher.

 

His productions include short films and documentaries that have been presented in many international festivals (Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival, Visions du Réel, TIFF Kids International Film Festival, Venice International Film Festival, etc.) and has received prestigious awards, including the “Michelangelo Antonioni” Award (Bif & st), the “Italia Doc” Award (Bellaria Film Festival) and the Best Short Film Award at the Ischia Film Festival.

 

He is the co-director of Frontdoc-Festival del Cinema di Frontiera and artistic director of the Cactus International Children's and Youth Film Festival.

Best Short Documentary winner: WILD IS THE SPRING

Through a simple and controlled but never banal form, the film gives us a human, poetic and political synthesis not only of the current situation of the Syrian people, but also of the hopes of a world trapped between the memory of a past war and the hope of return to their own land.
